I attended MacIntosh Night School & have had many jobs. The ones I really enjoyed were Housing Supervisor, Saudi Arabia &, most recently, Resort Manager here in Wolfeboro, NH. I had four children, but lost one. I have five grandchildren who I enjoy & spend as much time with as possible. I am retired &, in my spare time, my passion is sewing & making quilts & machine embroidery.

David Babine

He was born in Lawrence, Mass., and was the son of Henry and Elizabeth (Lawrie) Babine. He was raised in Andover, Mass., and graduated from Andover High School in 1960. As an adult he was a longtime resident of Middleton, Mass., and had a strong passion for helping people. He worked for Suburban Plumbing and Heating for 20-plus years before starting his own business Babine Plumbing and Heating. He also enjoyed working with heavy equipment.

Attended Chandler Business School & worked for many years for US Air in Customer Services which enabled our family to travel extensively. My husband opened & operated Gucci at Copley Place for over 15 years & then we opened our own business (Pressed 4 Time) which we operated until we retired in 2005. We have been blessed with two wonderful sons & two beautiful granddaughters. They all bring us such joy & we love having time to spend with our family. Jerry & I have been married for 46 years & we enjoy traveling. We spend a couple of those cold winter months in Naples, Florida & enjoy New Seabury on the Cape in the summer. We also enjoy planning far off trips to other countries. I feel truly blessed to have spent most of my life with the man who still makes my heart sing!

	Chuck Bergeron Chuck was born in Lawrence, on Sept. 3, 1942, son of the late Charles A. Bergeron Sr. and Bertha (Latvis) Bergeron. He graduated from Andover High School in 1960, and from Northeastern University with a degree in engineering. He was employed for 31 years with Polaroid in Waltham until his retirement in 1997. I co-founded Country Travelers of NE & became Director of the NE Apparel Club. In81 I married Dr. Gretchen Bavacos, the love of my life. I have a daughter and 2 grandchildren. We lived in Newton for 25 yrs. & moved to Ashland in ’04. We both retired @ 72 & have traveled most of Europe &some of Asia. I enjoyed sailing my boat & spending time @ our summer home on the Cape. Now enjoy participating in life long learning extension courses. We also coordinate our town’s chapter of Great Decisions,a national foreign policy discussion group.

Carole (Caliri) Bergeron

Carole Ann (Caliri) Bergeron, age 81, of Pepperell, formerly of Andover, passed away on July 2, 2024 at Southern New Hampshire Medical Center following a brief illness. Carole was born on October 8, 1942 in Lawrence, MA a daughter of the late Alphonse J. and Mildred A. (Taylor) Caliri.

I worked for the Department of Defense for 33 years in many different positions. I started in Andover right out of high school as a clerk-stenographer. I liked the job, & the money was good, so I decided to stay. After a few years, I was promoted & moved to Burlington (still in the secretarial field). After a few more years, I got another promotion--this time to the Boston Headquarters as secretary to the Director of Planning & Management. Finally, my last secretarial position was Executive Secretary to the Commander of the Boston District (Air Force Colonel). I spent the next ten years as a purchasing agent, support services supervisor & contracting officer. I have one child, three grandchildren & two great-grandchildren. I retired in 1995 & enjoy sleeping late, the beach, reading, going to Foxwoods, & photography (especially birds & other wildlife. I am actively pursuing the idea of traveling cross country via RV.

Attended Northeastern University &; University of Massachusetts, Boston. I quit school in 1961 & joined the Navy for Nuclear Power Submarine training. In 1962, I married Linda Low while on boot camp leave. After seven years, five months, & three days, I was given the ultimatum--“It’s me & the kids or the Navy!” So, I got out & went back to school. I got a degree in Political Science, History & Secondary Education. Then I spent the next 40+ years working in the electronic industry at numerous senior Engineering & Regulatory management positions. After retirement, I coached football for about 10 years (6 years at the high school level), travelled the world (this time above water ). Life has been very good to me. Lin & I will be celebrating our 60th Anniversary this coming April.. We have three wonderful daughters & enjoy watching the grandkids (one boy & three girls) grow up & drive my daughters crazy. I also enjoy photography, video editing, reading & driving Linda nuts. Boy is life fun.

Barbara (Carney) Lear

She attended North Shore Community College & have spent her working years as a secretary in the Insurance Industry, a nurse’s aide & currently in the cosmetic department at Walgreens on a part-time basis. She had three children (two sons & one daughter) & three granddaughters. When not working, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters in Maine & weekends in Center Ossipee, New Hampshire.

A Danvers resident for more than 50 years, she was a longtime member of the Polish Club, where she enjoyed the weekly meat raffle. She was also a NASCAR fan.

After high school, she spent her working years as a Legal Secretary, Executive Secretary to the Mayor, Secretary to the Business Manager of the School Department of Dracut & have retired as Acting Executive Director of the Dracut Housing Authority. She had five children & six grandchildren & spend her leisure time taking trips to Las Vegas, Atlantic City, & Connecticut.

She celebrated 44 years of marriag with her husband Joe e at the time of his death in 2014. She is survived by 5 children and 6 grandkids.

Wally Curran

Walter was a graduate of Andover High School and Merrimack College in North Andover. A longtime employee of TRW in Fitchburg, and Weir Valves in Ipswich, he had a great sense of humor that endeared him to the many people he worked with over the years. Walter enjoyed spending time with his family including his three grandchildren ,Nicholas, Karalyne, and Olivia, day-trips to Foxwoods with his children, and supporting the home teams.

In 1974, I bought a place in the White Mountains & that changed my life. I became very interested in the outdoors, cut firewood to heat the house. Carol (Davis) Antanavich

Carol was a graduate of Andover High School, class of 1960. Mrs. Antanavich was employed for many years as an office manager for Clark Chrysler and Plymouth and more recently as a tax auditor for the IRS in Andover. In her spare time, Carol loved bird watching and always enjoyed quilting. She also had a special love for animals. Besides her beloved husband, Joseph, whom she married on February 29, 1965, she will be very sorely missed.

	Bill Dufton He moved to Florida in 1983. He honorably served in The United States Navy and was a Vietnam veteran. Later, he graduated from nursing school and loved working as a Nurse. Bill was always happy and always had a smile on his face. He will be remembered for his love of garage sales and finding a bargain, and his ability to make friends with everyone he met. George Dumont

George served four years in the Army where he was recognized as a sharp shooter. After his military service, he moved to Santa Monica, California with his brother John. He worked as a manager at ITT Gilfillan Inc in Van Nuys, an electronic company known for their radar systems. His hobbies included fresh and salt water fishing, shooting guns, watching the PGA and NFL. He loved watching classic movies.

He had three children & seven grandchildren. He went to Northeastern University & did six years in the Coast Guard Reserves. In 1973, he started a Company. Techprint, Inc. (President & Owner) manufacturing. graphic overlays, labels, membrane switches, keyboards, & medical Bio-Sensors He enjoyed being a 3rd degree K of C in Andover & a 4th Degree Knight of the Father O’Donnell Assembly. He was a member of the Greater Lawrence Chamber of Commerce & on the Board of Directors of Merrimack Valley Work Force Investment Board. He was also President of the Andover Ski League & Treasurer of the Eastern Mass Buddy Werner Ski Organization. Now the good stuff--He enjoyed living in Andover, Seabrook Beach, & Marco Island Fl. He also enjoy beaching, skiing, traveling, & playing golf with his wife Mary & grandchildren. He belong to Abenaqui Country Club at Rye Beach where he played in the leagues & tournaments.

Attended Wentworth Institute and spent 46 years in the elevator business with a New England company. I started in the engineering department, then to the design department and retired as a Repair Manager. I have two children and three grandsons. I served 6 years in the Army National Guard leaving as an E5. My retirement life is as busy as my work life. My wife and I enjoy our 3 grandsons and spoil them as much as we can get away with. We do some traveling and enjoy going to the Northeast Kingdom area of Vermont where we have property near Lake Willoughby. Working in our yard and around the house is a passion I have. I enjoy sport shooting and I am a member of a pistol team. I like to walk for my exercise and also enjoy boating and fishing.

Carol (Gesing) Coombs

Married in 1962, divorced in 1970. Remarried in 1971 & we will celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary next October. We have a blended family of four wonderful children (three boys & one girl) who have blessed us with nine fantastic grandchildren (eight girls & one boy). I received my Associates Degree in Business from Northern Essex Community College & retired from Textron (Avco) in 2004 after 25 years in the Human Resources field. We own a motor home & have traveled to many beautiful locations in our country. Although we spend our winters in Fort Myers Beach, Florida, our primary residence is still in Andover. While at home, I enjoy volunteering at the Andover Senior Center, attending many sports & dance events for the grandchildren & doing any type of arts & crafts. I especially enjoy working on my ancestry which can quickly turn into a “full-time job!!

My life since high school has been a pleasant journey. I taught sophomore English as a high school teacher and enjoyed myself immensely. I taught so long that some of my later students we children of my earlier students. Go Figure.

After 37 years I retired and had even more fun when my wife Betsy and I became practical shooters. Before COVID we shot every Wednesday and most Sundays in the warm months. We have made many friends who range in age from their twenties to their seventies. Betsy handily beats me in the matches as she is the more accurate shooter. I am a humbled loser.

We are in our twentieth year or retirement, and life is pretty good. We spend our early falls in Canada and some part of our winters in Florida. In Canada, we go to Fundy Park which claims to have the highest tides in the world. In Florida we stay in ST. Augustine, which claims to be the oldest city in the US. We noisely claim the oldest place is Plymouth, MA. In both places they just love our New England accents. I’m on the cusp of my eighties and still going strong. I still do woodworking and carpentry for fun. I can’t believe how busy our lives are. 12/15/2021
